The Robert G. Cole Cougars boys basketball team put on a show 2 February 2024, crushing the Nixon Smiley Mustangs by a score of 83-50!
**James Livingston Leads the Charge **
James Livingston was unstoppable, leading all scorers with an impressive 23 points. He showcased his diverse offensive skills, scoring from all three levels and even effortlessly attempting to throw down dunks, proving he’s truly playing above the rim now! His game has grown tremendously, and we can’t wait to see how he closes out district play with three crucial games remaining.
**Triple Threat Offense **
James wasn’t the only Cougar putting on a scoring clinic. Logan Beckstrom drained an impressive 5 three-pointers on his way to 20 points, while Ajian Hasadinratana chipped in with 14 points, also scoring from all three levels. This well-rounded offensive attack was too much for the Mustangs to handle.
**Mustangs Have Bright Spots **
While the Mustangs fell short, they had some standout performances as well. Kade Dixon kept them in the game with 20 points, including 4 three-pointers, showcasing his shooting prowess. Carl White also impressed with a strong all-around performance, scoring 15 points and battling hard on the boards.
**Looking Ahead **
With three district games left, the Cougars are riding high on this dominant win. Their offensive firepower and well-rounded play are a force to be reckoned with. We’re excited to see how they finish the season and make a push for the playoffs!
**Go Cougars! **
