San Antonio Hosts First-Ever Nike ProSkills High School Invitational: A Showcase of Talent, Grit, and School Pride

🏀 On October 11, 2025, Southwest High School in San Antonio became the battleground for some of South Texas’ most promising basketball programs as it hosted the inaugural Nike ProSkills High School Invitational. Organized by the Nike ProSkills San Antonio program, this two-game showcase was designed to give teams one final competitive run before UIL coaches return to full-time practice on October 29. With the first official UIL game tipping off on November 10, this tournament served as a thrilling preview of the season to come.

The invitational featured a two-game format, allowing each team to test their depth, chemistry, and early-season readiness. The lineup included:

🏆 Undefeated Squads

Three teams emerged from the showcase with perfect 2-0 records:

  • Southwest High School Varsity: Dominated on their home court with high energy and sharp execution.
  • Laredo Nixon High School Varsity: Showed poise and depth, making a strong statement ahead of the regular season.
  • Cole High School: Displayed elite teamwork and clutch performances to secure their undefeated run.
