The 6th Annual Alamo City Hoops Classic Showcases Texas’ Top Talent

The 6th Annual Alamo City Hoops Classic is happening this weekend, bringing together some of the top high school basketball teams and players from across the state of Texas. This was our second year covering this premier event, and it did not disappoint, featuring 16 teams from cities like Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and of course, San Antonio.

The talent level at this year’s Alamo City Hoops Classic was off the charts. The roster included 1 five-star athlete, 3 four-star athletes, and 1 three-star athlete. Even more impressive, the event featured 5 college-committed athletes hailing from all corners of Texas.

In the opening round of the championship bracket, several teams emerged victorious and are now preparing for their second-round games. Austin St. Michael’s, Cibolo Steele, Converse Judson, Dallas Oak Cliff Family, Fort Bend Austin Houston Bellaire, Houston Shadow Creek, and SA Wagner all picked up first-round wins.

  • Bo Ogden from St. Michael’s Class of 2026, who scored 17 points in a win over New Braunfels
  • Shelton Henderson from Houston Bellaire Class of 2025, who poured in 19 points in a win over SA Johnson
  • Logan Gonzalez from Cibolo Steele Class of 2026, who led his team to victory over SW Legacy with 22 points

This three-day event is being held at Cibolo Steele High School, and the action continues tomorrow starting at 9:00 am with a matchup between Houston Bellaire and Converse Judson. With so much top-tier talent on display, basketball fans in Texas are in for a real treat at the 6th Annual Alamo City Hoops Classic.
