In an intense matchup against the Northwest Vista College Men’s basketball team, the Palo Alto Men’s Basketball team emerged victorious with a final score of 65-57. The game, which started off slow for the Palominos as they found themselves down 9-2, turned into a thrilling display of teamwork, determination, and skill.
The first half saw Manuel stepping up with his inside presence, scoring 9 points and displaying unselfish play by looking for open teammates. Julian also made a significant impact in the second half, taking advantage of Manuel’s presence to score 8 of his 14 points. Daylon showcased his defensive prowess, becoming a lockdown defender in the first half and helping slow down the Northwest Vista Wildcats’ play.
Aric Goodman of Northwest Vista shined in the first half, utilizing his scoring ability to contribute 8 of his 11 points, mainly from the free-throw line and open jump shots. He was a main reason the Wildcats were in the game going into halftime. The Palominos went into halftime with a lead of 31-26.
The second half belonged to the Palominos, who outscored the Wildcats 34-31, with contributions from 8 different players. Julian led all scorers in the half with 8 points. The collective effort and balanced scoring from the team showcased their depth and versatility on the court.
