Coach Randall Green is actively setting new standards and integrating into the community as he leads Palo Alto College. His commitment is evident as he thoroughly explores the city, ensuring no potential goes unnoticed. Recently, he hosted two promising prospects in the gym alongside his current squad, which boasts an impressive 10-2 record in the conference and a 22-11 overall season. Coach Green’s dedication to local talent is unwavering; he provides these athletes with the assurance that Palo Alto College offers not only an exceptional education but also the chance to excel in high-level college basketball.
One of the prospects, Christopher Badger from Randolph High School, class of 2025, showcased his exceptional speed and athleticism. He is a player who excels above the rim, demonstrating keen floor spacing and insightful decision-making. When asked about what piqued his interest in Palo Alto, Christopher highlighted the college’s robust business degree program. He expressed eagerness at the prospect of playing basketball at the next level, fondly recalling his time playing AAU under Coach Green, who rekindled his love for the game.

The second prospect, Travis Hune of Southwest High School, also class of 2025, is considering Palo Alto to pursue a nursing degree while advancing his basketball career. He is confident in his ability to compete at the next level, be it Division II or III. During a scrimmage, Travis demonstrated his value by sinking the game-winning basket, a testament to his skills as a guard who refuses to be limited by size. His offensive prowess and ability to efficiently space the floor were complemented by his precise, well-timed passes.

Securing the commitment of either or both of these talented young players would undoubtedly propel the Palominos further in their positive trajectory, reinforcing Coach Green’s vision of a promising future for Palo Alto College basketball.
